Hey guys! I wanted to let all the 2006 W220 owners who may be considering adding the phone or Sirius system to their car that despite the writeups and information on the boards the 2006 MY W220 IS prewired for both. ALL cars (in North America) in 06 are prewired according to Keith the Mercedes phone guy. He just finished installing the factory phone and satellite system in my car and he has done thousands since they were new (he's been working for MB dealers doing this for 32 years he said)! He told me despite the information every 06 is prewired and sure enough mine was!

After reading the information all over MBW and BW I was very disappointed to find out my car may not be wired. After checking the 05 phone bulletins and not seeing the wires I was very sad! Luckily I found Kieth and once he set me straight I didn't have to worry about going aftermarket anymore! Between Kieth and Warren (Skylaw) I was able to get very good information and help with this. Keith happened to be local and came and installed everything himself.

Can you ask him if this only applies to the 2006 models or if it applies to all 2003 2004 and 2005 as well

my sirus system sucks and wont catch signal unless im on top of a 3 story garage ;(

I'm sorry to hear that. My car was in a garage lastnight to avoid the rain during install and still got out just fine.

what route are you going to take for bluetooth audio streaming ? because there is a way to connect a bluetooth unit and have your songs appear on the command screen and on the dash i believe and the steering wheel controls should work as well. i think dension makes something but i dont know if itll interfere with the bluetooth phone. i like the fact it works the way its supposed to when its installed from the factory.

I haven't really thought much about it I don't really stream much I usually listen to satellite more than anything. I believe I have seen it tho it's a puck right?
