04 S55 Bi-Xenon Poor Light Output

hi,

I have 04 S55 with factory fitted bi-xenon headlights with auto leveling.
Even I get the headlight cleaned and inside and out pretty well and changed bulbs with 5000K philips, output is pretty low.

I checked several thread read that projectors, bulb upgrades but not sure about the parts list yet.

Will I keep auto leveling with following Bosch E46 projector ?
https://www.retrofitlab.com/bosch-al...jectors-1.html

Will I need to buy any other part other than projectors ?

Before you do all that retrofit consult a hid lighting expert

i think aznoptics posts in this forum he can tell you if an aftermarket canbus hid kit can produce better output with your stock reflector , or if you need to retrofit projectors

Try higher end bulbs. Brightest out there are osram xenarc cbi

My stock 2005 S55 lights are fantastic. Something wrong.

I fitted some cheap xenon bulbs and although the colour was exactly what i was after the light output was very poor.

Changed them to a pair of genuine Osram cbi's and the difference is quite dramatic.

Osram are some of the best bulbs out there, as the price will tell you. But i did say Genuine for a good reason, a lot of them on ebay are fake and you'll be disappointed.

My 2005 S55 was horrible, had bi-xenon but no auto leveling. Try azn optic's suggestion with the bulb, check the factory ballast, then do the retrofit.

I skipped everything and changed my projector with morimoto and a new HID kit.

Had cheap Xeon bulbs, and like the guy posted before me, output sucked. Got factory bulbs, they were expensive but wow, night and day difference in brightness.

OSRAM XENARC 66240 CBI D2S

See if you can source local for cheaper shipping, but if you have trouble sourcing authentic (careful there are fakes out there), hit us up as we have an account with Osram and can get them for you straight from factory.

AZN optics how much would you charge for those bulbs and shipping To 94111?

So many online sellers are selling fakes I would rather. Be guaranteed to get authentic ones

PM sent. In addition to the CBI bulbs, Osram released this year their new Xenarc 66240 CBH bulbs which are slightly brighter (3500 vs 3600 lumen count) than CBI, but are more expensive, but that's what you'll want if you want the absolute brightest.
