2004 S600 Wheel/Tire sizes..what will work?
Trying to put new rims/tires on the 2004 S600. Having a bear of a time finding 18x9 5-112 44offset in chrome that I like. As well wondering how big can one go tire wise?? So had settled on autorimshop.com factories oem...but of course I order and they don't have any.....so now choice two...was trying to stay stock as those engineers do design things with handling/ride comfort in mind. Choice 2: USArim.com has 19x9.5 5-112 30 or 35 offset...will this work with this car? And what would be an optimum tire size for it?
Leary of rims/tires rubbing and/or hitting brakes.
Thanks for your input!

The optimum tires would be what came on the car from the factory since they are engineered for maximum performance. Probably from the factory 245/45/18 front and 275/40/18 rear on 9.0 rims front and 9.5 rear.

I run 4 x 275-30-20 all round, which is a bit extreme because of the shallow sidewalls and the impact on ride, but the upside is the grip and handling. There are better compromises like 4 x 275-35-19; and 4 x 265-40-18 which is comfortable and quiet.
Tire profile is a trade between ride and handling, so chose your poison, but any square wheel/tire configuration does wonders for steering, handling, grip and balance.
Tires have improved enormously in 13 years as well. Some OEM fitment tires seem positively agricultural these days. The industry has made a wholesale change from directional to asymmetric tires in that time.
These comments only apply to cars like the S55, S600 & S65, which have ABC. Might not work on Airmatic cars due to rubbing in roll.

Here's what I may have lined up...19x8.5 ft and 19x 9.5 rear for rims (30 off set). Will those fit the 2004 S600 without clearance problems? As well tire sizes??? Those yet to be determined. Was out doing front brakes/rotors today and it sure looks pretty tight in there already at 18x8 with 245/45r18's on it.

do you think 19x8.5's and 19x9.5's (30 off sets on both) will work ok clearance wise? As well what tire sizes on those? Was doing brakes today and sure looked close all around at 18x8 with 245/25r18's

30 offset is going to stick out 15mm further than stock rims , not even counting the width increase
You'll probably need to get your fender lips rolled to avoid rubbing
