'05 S55 - ABC - Ride Height Button randomly lights-up after start
Hello,
I think I have an electrical gremlin in my 2005 S55 (or an ABC issue). Every few starts, the car's ride height button appears to be activated on the first level (the first light on the button).
To be clear, I always drive with ABC Sport at the standard height level so not sure what is causing the issue. I never drive my car with the vehicle height raised so for one reason or another, the car will sometimes start with the first light on the Ride Height Button illuminated and the ABC Sport light off.
No ABC errors on the dash. Any insights on what is going on...?

How old is the battery and what cold voltage?
My battery was okay but I knew it was a little down. When I flashed the ECU it showed it's age and I had to buy a new one to complete the flash.
After that my gremlins went away.
YMMV

Looks like a battery was installed in 2016 judging from the date written on the battery in chalk (must have been an auction lot or the lot I bought it from). It was also charged by the indy shop after I replaced the alternator. Problems still continued after the alternator change and the battery charge last week.
When I hookup my scanner to the car, I also see some random CAN faults that I can't explain.
Will check voltages tomorrow morning and report back.

Values are low. A fully charged battery is around 12.5 - 12.6 volts, running voltage usually around 14.4 - 14.6 volts.

Okay - good info.
Do you guys think it's the voltage regulator or the battery? Not sure if the voltage regulator was also changed when I got a new alternator last week.

Will check at the battery terminals tomorrow morning. Checked from the hidden menu in the IC when I posted those values earlier.
Would a charge fix it or do I need a new battery?

Unless the car has been sitting Undriven , a charge probably won't help
Check the date code on the battery , if older than 3-4 years old you'll probably need a new one
