Give it a try. It worked for me. Front and rear vents now blow cold air after a recharge.

There can be (almost always will be) a huge difference in getting a proper recharge by someone (perhaps you) who knows what they are doing and has the equipment to do it, as compared to getting a random amount of refrigerant squirted into an untested system using the cheapest can-with-a-hose of R134a plus "stop-leak" that could be found at the parts store/Walmart.

I bought a set of manifold gauges. Not knowing how much refrigerant was in the system, I went slowly watching the low and high side pressures. I topped up with 24 oz of refrigerant with both sets of gauges right where they should be. AC works great.
