Extended warranties for W220? Anybody have experience with this?

Hey all,

I am looking to get a 2 year comprehensive/bumper-bumper warranty for a 2004 S500 4matic with 58k miles on it. I am wondering if anybody has an opinion on these warranties? Besides the limited things they do not cover, do you feel it is a good way to cover yourself from tons and tons of expensive things that can go wrong with the car? I am not sweating over the $2300 price tag for the warranty- I am just wondering if other owners agree that it gives you a strong safety net for things like transmission, springs, engine, and about hundreds of other components a bumper-bumper covers?

Where have you found a bumper to bumper warranty for $2300? Yes it's a good deal if it's true but I have a feeling the warranty is likely not bumper to bumper , please list the warranty company and contract name

Hey Tusabes, thanks for the input as always! Yeah, so the dealership that is selling the car offered me a bumper-bumper for 2 years for $2,300. It covers everything except for some standard exclusions- which include shocks, which makes me worried that they won't cover airmatic suspension issues (so I need to ask them directly I think). In any case, I feel like $2,300 is an awesome investment to insure myself of almost any repair needed for two years.

Like Tusabes states - be careful. Make sure you read the contract thoroughly (with your magnifying glass).
