Key fob not unlocking or locking or steering ignition

Okay so my car has been having problem lately when I use my jet fob to unlock it it fails to work after pressing it a couple times it would eventually work now today it suddenly stopped working and when I tried locking it didn't so I close all lock and unlocked with emergency key then when I put the key in ignition nothing happens and the key worn turn at all I really need info about how to fix this asap since my cars stranded in a lot. Thanks in advance

Your car battery in the trunk is probably dead

Dead key fob perhaps. Do you have another one to try?

Did some form of trauma happen to key? (tour of your clothes washer, dropped in puddle, dog ate it, etc)

You are disclosing 2 separate failures here, IR and RF both dying at same time, unlikely.

Most key failures are one or other.

Is possible your EIS is failing or other DAS related system no longer liking key.

2nd key to test would be ideal. Might order one to get answer, but be ready to get EIS replaced/repaired if 2nd key also not working.

Only having one working key is recipe for distress/disaster.

Does red light show on key?

Do you hear little "whirr" sound when it goes in EIS?
