Hallo together,

im from Germany and i hope i can explain my problem as well, because me english isnt good enough

I have a 320 CDI S Class from 2003 and i have a question...
i have the factured speakers of MB. No Surround of Harman / Kardon or BOSE. I think the speaker wires come from the COMAND unit.. But the wire of the Subwoofer in the raer, that looks to the trunk..
where the wire come from ? Is there any unit or amplifier that controls the woofer ?

There should be an amp behind the left side panel of the trunk. It's pretty easy to remove and get to it. My amp is on the bottom towards the back. I've seen some mounted on the stack of the CD Changer (could be wrong).

However, it is not easy to get to the wire up on the panel where subwoofer is mounted (from what I understand).

Ok thanks.. i think its the Unit called "Audio Gateway". I want to upgrade my sound system. i want install an android entertainment system with touchscreen, which look like the original comand. From this Unit i will connect a 4 channel amplifier via chinch. the new speakers will be connected directly to the amplifier. i will replace the factory woofer in the rear with a better one and connect it directly to the amplifier.

Audio Gateway is a stand alone unit that communicates with Command for Iphone/USB and AUX integration.

hello did you upgrade your system. and was you able to find your speaker wire? I have a 03 s430 and my rear subwoofer speaker blowen. And I want to put a after market one in. But I need to find the speaker wire in my car.
