2000 S430 Aux - 3.5mm Jack Option To Install?
So I have a S430, the 2000 Model and it has no Aux input and it really bugs me because FM Transmitters sound crappy.
I want the pure audio experience.
Is there an official way to install an Aux Port anywhere on the car?
Without actually installing a 3rd Party Stereo Interface?

I have the same year s430, I upgraded to a 2003 command 2.0 and added an aux input. Works perfectly with the CD changer and steering wheel controls. You do have to do a bit of wiring swapping and solder in the aux connector, and some different trim pieces are needed as well. I also added a bluetooth setup. Total cost for it all was about 250.00, a very worthwhile upgrade. Later i replaced the Bose speakers with Polks....mch btter sound now to boot!

I have the Denision Gateway 500 unit on my 2006 S430 and it has USB (which I use) and Aux as well. So far it's been pretty good. It does not seem to like large capacity USB sticks but does just fine with 16 and 32gb, which is perfect for me (I don't need my entire music library at my fingertips).
I haven't used the Aux as USB integration is great.
I hear it integrates with Apple product as well but I do not use this option.....
