analog micro tac in 2000 s500
I need some help here, both my dealer and MBUSA have told me no upgrade is available. Has anyone done this yet and if so do you have cost and part #'s.
If you would like me too I will post the emails from MBUSA! They are very funny, at first they explain this is avail, and then they say it is not.

The 2000 S-Class was orginally introdcued with a Star Tac (Analog) phone as an option. Later in 2000 Mercedes came out with a retrofit kit to allow use of the Digital Star Tac for clients that already have the analog version. I beleive the retrofit part # is BQ682 0447.

Not sure the dealer called mine a micro-tac. It looks like an older flip phone without the flip. My business partner who has a 2000 s430 has the star-tac in his and they are two different phones. Any thoughts?

Most dealers don't know much about the phone systems. I had to do all my own research to learn what I know. Since then, the parts manager at my local dealer has called me to ask questions about the phone..... Interesting, isn't it ?!?!
