how do you get the sticky stuff off of the steering wheel buttons on a 2007 ML 350?

I also has this issue. Also, the panel where headlight controls (left side of the steering wheel) is also very sticky. It seems somebody has applied wrong cleaner. Or the the plastic is dis-integrating. I cannot believe a luxary brand has this silly issue. Also, I notice the plastic enclosure below front seats (where massage controls are housed) is very flimsy plastic and makes lot of noise when touched. Compare it to low priced Japanese models. I am disappointed with MB
