2001 S600
Which is actual thermostat for S600?
Trying to find the actual thermostat on my 2001 S600.

Part #2752000415 is a large housing (2nd pic). Searches show this as the thermostat plus housing.... is it a housing with an internally- built thermostat? Pictures seem to show a thermostat in the center of this housing... the is no such piece in my housing. It is like someone removed it (the housing is there on my car, but not the internal half-dollar sized piece that i typically think of when i see any other thermostat). Wondering if i can buy just that small internal thermostat piece to put within the housing without having to buy the whole setup.
Part #a0021405260 (first pic) is connected to the housing
What is #a0021405260? Some searches show it as an air/ fuel check valve. Others show it as the thermostat. What is it?

Supposedly the thermostat and housing is one part - although they can be separated they don’t sell just the internals as a separate part

sounds like someone just removed your internals rather then do the job right and pay for the housing . Be wary as to what other corners they cut
