Damn air suspension

Hello everyone I'm new here so go easy lol... I have a 2002 S430 and my car lowered one day and hasn't been raised back up. I checked relays checked for leaks etc...I hear the compressor kick on but car does not raise...any idea what the issue is ?

Did I post this in wrong place or just being ignored?

If you take the time to learn how the system works, and what each part does, it is a simple, easy-to-service system that works very well.

If one strut fails, that corner will be down. If the relay fails, the compressor doesn't run, or doesn't stop running. If all four struts drop, you need to look at those things that affect the entire system. Some possibilities include (but are not limited to) broken air line from the compressor to the reserve tank or to the valve block; compressor running, but not pumping, computer not calling for air, computer failed, etc., etc., etc. It is very unlikely that one of us can tell you exactly what the problem actually is.

Perhaps this would help...

Couldn't have put it any clearer than that Wally, truth.

you need to pull the code to see whats going on. you can test each component with a scanner as the BAR pressures are very high during the self test and have to fall within certain paremeters and hold the pressure. like the reservoir, or the compressor, or the valve block all can be tested with the right scanner

its all complicated and I barely understand it

you need a scanner or some other way I am not aware of?

have you tried driving it (even if low) just to click on the compressor. I used to put mine in storage and it was squating (later found out both struts leaking), but compressor did not turn on for like a quarter mile after I drove

Why are you guys bumping in responding to this post, it’s four years old and the guy never came back. You’re wasting your breath.
