Finally, today I called up my sales rep. and placed the orders in for two S600s in the new body style. He needed to talk to his GM who was not in today, so I will know more details tommorow. He said most likely the deposits will be about 1000 dollars for both and fully fully refundable. Before he calls me back tommorow to finalize the orders is there anything I should ask him?? I usually don't pre-order cars and never THIS far in advance, but I think if I don't they will do a large MSRP markup if I do this. Please let me know what paperwork I should request and how do I really know that I am numbers one and two on the waitlist or am I just listening to my rep say so??

I ordered my S500 W221 about a month ago from MB of Miami. The sales rep told me the car would go for no more than MSRP. I'm thinking about taking European delivery.

I have realized that with my aging body it is getting harder to get into my SL, so I will finally go back to the good old days with a S600 sedan. I will post pics of the Capri Blue S600 Saturday when I have time. I have heard rumors of a possible 600 hp engine, but if that happens do you think they will jack up the price? 600 hp is something I have never ever even thought about. It will be around the same hp rating as the xx65 AMG's.

How can you possibly imagine that you will get the first one, it seems unlikely. Just make sure you picked the right interior and all the upgrades to the seats.

No one is exactly sure when it will come to the States but no I won't get the first one, but the first one from my dealership I will get. Why wouldn't I??

It is like a prearranged marriage but even while the car is in production and even when the car is at the dealership I can withdraw and get my money back.

from the information i have recieved from my benz contacts, the line up will be s55, s63, s65. and from the bridge program they brought out in late august on 05 cars it leads me to believe that we will have the new body s class by late 05, prices will probably start at the 100k mark and proceed considerable up from there,

Second, in response to tntmcj: Can you ask your contacts why are there so many AMG's, especially on a non-sports car?
