Considering S430
Hello, we are considering an S430, pretty much stock, since its already generously loaded, and were wondering, how much off of MSRP shoudl we ask for? Keep in mind we are in Los Angeles and a repeat customer of the dealer. We offered 68, but the counter was 71. ANy thoughts? Thanks

LA is a tough market. Demand is always high in this damn city. MSRP is what you will probably get. However, since you are a repeat customer and you might have a good relationship with your sales rep, emphasis the fact that the new remodeled s class is coming out in a few months. It is coming with a few new features. If you can use that as a bargaining chip, then great. But don't expect much off of the MSRP.
Also, I rarely see any S430's with no options. IMO the S2 lighting package is a must. The S3 comfort package is really nice. the S5 package really makes the car stand out. ABC is a great toy, but S classes aren't really meant to be raced heh

oh yes, the days of MSRP
In Canada, the cars are sold so fast that people turn to leasing company and generally pay 4 - 5 Grand CDN more for their cars. So I wish we could get MSRP on a car you could get instantly.
At a dealer, they may throw in a shirt and an accessory, if your a really good customer, they will cover frieght and PDI (worth 1295 - 1795 CDN) but thats all, and you have to wait a few months before you get your car.
