Check out the so original wheel arch and the so inspiring bottom door crease that nobody else has.

Picture something along the lines of the LF-S sedan.
Yeah, I'm just making stuff up, it's just general history that Japanese companies are under a lot tighter lock+seal about disclosing new information.

Rumors of a 500hp sedan getting something around 30mpg or more.
That's not inspiring?!
And it works too!
But, we'll wait on final pictures, it's always stupid to try to judge a car before it's out.

I dont know, I saw the LF-S in person and it wasn't that moving for some reason. Just looked cheap from the outside, didnt convey the slightest hint of luxury at all.
The engine is sounding pretty darn good, however if the gearing of this new 7spd they have is going to be like their current 6spd then I will stand by my earlier comment. We all have different criteria for what we want in our cars, so to each his own.

Hopefully the 7sp they put in will be the 6sp right now, with just an additional gear IMO.
The LS430 has phenomanal acceleration to 120mph, it's after that when it dies out because of gearing. Another gear would easily pump it up to another 15mph with oomph.
Engine sound on this car should be mute, but as we've agreed, to each to his own

What I would like to see from Lexus is styling that is individual to its brand and not ripped off other car makers. I also want to see an agressive car with phenomenal torque and hp (not via hybrid). I want something that does what my E55 or 750li do but better.
I just don't see them touching the Germans in the driveability department with their fairly short wheelbase. The cars just dont feel stable over speeds of 80mph where as German cars do.

You guys do realise thats the new LS testing under a cut up body of the current LS430? So the looks have nothing to do with the new LS.
It better not look better than the new S...cause the technology this time is going to be well up to standard I think. Oh well...Lexus always manages to stuff up somehow...so I have faith. LOL.

Sure, it's not yet the new LS, it only has fender flares and door crease as of yet. They still need some time to slant the angle of the headlights to be more like the S Class, and chisel the tail lights to be more Maybach like and then there are the interiors that needs to be updated with the last minute fashion statements.

I will say that the dash is a close resemblence to my 750li, I wont even deny that. However the S does a far better job on the execution of the interior than BMW did with the new 7er.
If anything the new Lexus GS resembles the new Avalon. Hell even the new Accords are starting to look like ford 500's and Chevy Mailbus from the rear and what not. However the S looks nothing like the Avalon, and I have seen one up close. The fender flares are not as pronounced as they look in the pictures, even the materials squarely make Lexus look like crap and far exceed the previous S class. Everything feels real smooth and soft to the touch. No more of that plasticy feel to the buttons or doors anymore.
I suppose to each his own.
