Congratulations to S6.3 owners
I saw my first CLK 6.3 today. The black CLK Price : $130,000. Uh, what a horrific price for such a small car. 
The S63 is a steal of a deal compared to this. Why is the CLK 6.3 that expensive?????
The CLS 6.3 is no where near that much either and it is bigger than the CLK series.

Black Series CLK is special...
Trumpet1: What you saw was the rare '08 Black Series CLK63, which is being made in limited numbers and is full of really trick competition/racing parts by AMG. It is a different animal than even your 'normal' AMG CLK. To find out why this car was priced at such high level by MB and what makes its content so special, you will have to go to the sub-forum and get educated. Here is the link:

I test drove one last August at Quail Lodge in Carmel and it was an incredible ride. Yet it would not be were I would spend my $135K+, but I can see where the money was spent by MB/AMG and why it would be an attractive pkg for many. Z356

And likely trade-in value of each after a yr....
CLK63BS still weighs 4000lbs
, whereas GT3 is 3100ish lbs...High pricing of CLK63BS prob reflects need to spread R&D costs over only ?350 cars....
Problems of low produc vols; poss tight profit margins....AMG had to skimp on various revisions to the rather laughable, low-rent CLK interior (a secretary's car in CA).....this 4000lb alleged track car has a tiny, hard-to-see periph tach, equal-sized to a symmetrically placed analog clock.....
