20" AMG Wheels now available

Thought you guys would like to know that the 20" AMG wheel is now available for the S550. $9000 MSRP with wheels and tires. For those that do not know, these are the wheels that are a part of the "performance" package available with the AMG models.

$9000 is way too much for these. I got mine through tire rack for less than $3000, tires and all. Unfortunately, they are no longer selling them.

The reason I know this is because I spoke with them (TireRack) about a week ago and they said due to their high cost, even they were not able to keep them in stock. I bought all four of mine a year ago (19" staggered) when they were listed on their website. Just a few months later, I noticed they had pulled the pictures off of the site (maybe around March through ??), then just 2 weeks ago I saw them back on the site. I have a bent rim so I thought I'd inquire into them when the rep said they only had one left of the size I needed and that there would not be anymore after that. As far as where to get them now, I'd probably just go to the dealership or look at car magazine ads. Their is another website that carries these but I can't remember what it's called. I'll post it if I remember it later. Good luck.

I agree that $9k is a lot to pay for a "stock" type wheel, especially when there are plenty of aftermarket options out there...just thought I would let those who like the 20" AMG wheels know that they can now be purchased.

If it is the 20" Multi Piece wheel, that sounds about right for Retail prices.

$3,000? Did you get the knockoffs or the ASA wheels? Are you sure they are the same AMG rims the other guy is talking about?

They are the same rims. Not knockoffs. However, mine are not multi piece. I said $3000, that may be low, but I know I didn't pay over $3500.

$3000 - $3500 for single piece AMG's sounds like a good deal. But I can easily see the dealerships trying to get $9,000 for the multi piece. We had a customer who was charged almost $8,500 or so for factory 21" single piece wheels at the BMW dealership. Forget the dealership, just go aftermarket.

I believe they are just one-piece...these are the wheels that come on the S 63 and CL 63 with the performance package.
