Well I've gone and done it...
 
Been reading the forum for a few day's and just purchased my first Mercedes Benz. Was a difficult choice for me as my family drives two lexus 460L's and a 06 BMW 740(peer pressure). My wife says I've lost it but bought a 08 S550 4matic, andorite gray with gray-dark gray interior, P2 package and 36500 miles. I know the miles are a little high but it has been serviced and appears to be well taken care of. Not a CPO car but will purchase a warranty. I am very excited and just wanted to tell someone. Oh yeah, thanks for the info and glad to be here!

Are you on the east coast? Why did you choose the 4 matic? I have an andorite gray, and I think it's a great color as well, but what sold me on the S over the Lexus is the Active body control.

Not on east coast, NW Arkansas. We have always bought awd vehicles just for those 3 to 7 days a year it snows or ice's up. Plus I got a little red neck in me so I always have a couple of 4 wheel drives in the garage!

I am paying $54,500 for the car, will pick it up next week and post some picks at that time.
