I'm not too sure about those gigantic windows, or the rear lights which seem like they'll be more W212, than W221 (which I love).

Interestlingly the large rear door window and apparent heft is reminiscent of when I first saw the then new 380SEL (W126). I was 15 at the time and I was so impressed my its presence. I can still remember the Car and Driver photo of it in their test drive.

Does anyone have an idea what year the next body style will be released in the US? I have seen a range anywhere between 2012 MY in late 2011 all the way up to MY 2014 as proposed in this post.

MB's typical refresh cycles are 7 years. The W220 was 2000-2006, the W221 started in 2007 MY, so an educated guess will be 2014 Model Year, but probably available in Mid to late 2013 as a 2014 model.
