Do all s550's have the HID option?

Just curious if it was possible to get the s550 without HID's/xeons

No, it is standard as it should be...

in the US it is standard to have the HID. But I have seen in Europe a diesel, short wheelbase, no sunroof, and no HID

I think that's right... The MBs we see here are the top end of the line... I'm always surprised seeing the small engines, cloth interiors and base models when traveling in Europe that we never see in the US... Even the S class...
