Mercedes S-Class 2012 Spied
Found this on facebook then follow the orig link so thought to share here. "The development of the new Mercedes S Class is well underway as these latest photos of an S Class prototype during winter test show. Today they had perfect test conditions with a temperature of -30 C and sun."

WTF, how can you guys type/say that with a serious face?
Is it all that weird, leathery black cladding that looks ugly? I agree then, very non-tasteful for a car.
Wishful thinking I guess.
We'll see how it'll look. I think the shape looks great (like the W211, but a bit more angular, but what's great is that the familiarity is very present, which is a great thing), but the details are what may be worrisome....

I am not to excited,or optimistic about any future models...
There is a guy from Hyundai running the design team,and it is my speculation/assumption that the cars will more than likely look like a Hyundai in some way.

Amazing proportions. Just like the W221, but slightly tweaked. Exactly the way it should be: Evolution>Revolution. The shape is certainly a pure and bonafide S-Class, I'm happy to say, but the details I'm hoping don't contrast that.

How can anybody, (not biased), judge anything wrapped with pleated vinyl?
It's like judging UPS wrapped box and not taking in consideration what's inside.

I've heard from someone/people on other Message Boards, who apparently knew people who went to school with Lee (M-B's newest Designer, who is very responsible for many new designs), that he was very much not a fan of Mercedes, and talked trash about them. He's also apparently said that he plans to take his success and experience back to his homeland (Korea), and help out his home-town car manufacturers.
Not good news at all, IF it's true, that someone who doesn't appreciate M-B's heritage, is partially responsible for Design.
