Buy OEM wheels. Best design match/combo / quality / performance ... Get latest 20" S65 and you must be fully satisfied. Don't ruin you ride with anything bigger/3rd party unless you have a low self-esteem ... you still have only 320cdi anyway ... do you realize big and wide tires will decrease your performance? Better to save money and buy a proper AMG ..

Several MB's Superperformance MK III Cobra
Even though the wheels have AMG stamped on them they are made by third parties--Ronal. Borbet come to mind but there are others. Some of the "AMG" wheels are really not that good. There are many stories of them cracking or outright breaking and in addition they are also quite heavy. I recently replaced the wheels on my SL55 (AMG 2piece wheels) with forged 3 piece wheels made specifically for the car and the weight difference was 10 pounds a wheel.

I cant speak for you old sl55 2pc wheels. All i know is the wheels that im referring to are not only one of the best looking wheels on the market today plus the are forged, strong and light.
Amg is not in the rim making business, of course they are made by someone else. However, they are designed for the vehicle and there is a standard in which the maker need to up hold. The cracked amg wheels are probably the replicas you see all over ebay. They have "amg" stamped on them as well.

They are the 19" 2 piece AMG wheels that are found on the SL55 performance package or the SL65.

Like i said, i cant speak for those rims as i dont have eperiences with them. However, if you crack all 4 wheels on your car maybe its your driving habits?

Driving habits my ***. There have been a number of issues of these wheels plus the wheels on the E55's cracking . Doubtful that all were the result of driving habits.

The front tires were really worn so i changed the 2 front tires.. I'll sell the rims with tires for 3800. They are in brand new condition..
