Tinted Headlights.

Ok, So I first wanted to take my headlights apart and paint the inside black. But that would take a lot of work, and I don't really have that much time.So I figured I'd try tinting the lens instead with film. That way it serve me both advantages. Such as giving the car a different look yet protect my lens from rock chips. What do you guys think?

No. Its not from lamin-x. You can get it on eBay ( iJdmtoys) store. It's the same thickness as the clear bra material. Which I like because it also help protec the lights from rock chips.
Here's the link http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/12-x-...#ht_6232wt_956

Id say go a with a lighter shade of tint? but I think the blacked out headlights looks good, as long as its not so dark

I'd like to see pics of the rest of the car to include the the roof wrap to see how it looks as a whole not just the headlights in order to get a good opinion.

With headlight tint, it's gotta be as light as possible, or else it just looks cheap, not to mention, your Xenons will now be downgraded to low energy halogens in night time (both in look and output).

Yours look to be on the right track, as they're lighter than a lot that I see, but IMO they should be lighter.

The best "smoke" look on the headlights is the OEM way, which is painting the insides. I'd do that to mine, but I don't want someone taking my headlights apart, as I think that it may invite in the possibility of condensation build-up and dust/dirt leaking inside, etc.

Headlights actually look pretty good, although a tad lighter would be perfect, but I'm surprised at how clean/non "Mod Tinted" it looks.

Now, you REALLY need to wrap/paint the roof racks on the roof. It looks horribly awkward/unfinished since that area is black along the A-Pillar, then all of a sudden it gets white up there by the roof. Totally throws the symmetry and proportions of the design off, up there.

Aside from that, looking good.

Agreed. To complete the look the roof rack should be done, kinda throws the completeness off. The black n white combo looks good, you went into detail and actually the tinted headlights doesn't look bad. Good job bro!

Looks good. I've had a couple of C classes get their headlights tinted by me before. Some don't like how it darkens their light output, but it depends what you're used to.

I finally have the answer to the question that's been keeping me up nights:

What can I do so the headlights in my 600+HP 180+MPH car will throw less light on the road at night?

Before I did that, I'd go to 70W HID bulbs to keep the light output the same, or make sure my car had the night-vision option.

This is one mod I just do not understand.

It's not as dark as you think my friend. The light output is maybe 10% darker at night. You must be really blind if you couldn't see the road driving with my car. Maybe I should snap a few pic's of the light output so you have a better idea to your assumption?
