Awesome new problem with my ECM
I have a very exciting problem w/ the wife's S550:
1. Engine fan comes on full speed at random times, even when the car is parked 2. Car won't start while this is happening Wiggling the ECM's connectors seems to temporarily address the issue or tapping it with a screwdriver on top. The car fires right up and the fan turns off. Seems to be a cold soldering problem around where the modules connector bay and PCB come together (I'm guessing)... Do you guys know if it's possible to by a used ECM on eBay and have it SCN coded to my car? Here are the details of the module that I have: MB Part Number: A 273 153 50 79 Bosch # 0 261 209 210 I also am trying to contact Beckmann technologies and waiting for someone there to get back to me to see if they can repair this one. Any other places like Beckmann around that do this type of stuff? Thanks guys!!! Any info would be great, a new module from the dealr is almost $2500 w/ labor to install/code... |

Beckmann should be able to help.
Used ECU wont work since it is has to be vin coded for the car. |
Hi Serge! This is the exact same problem as our 2007 S550. I've spent a lot of time and money trying to pinpoint the issue. Is it the engine control module? I'd really appreciate if you can let me know what was the solution. I've spend hours trying to figure it out. Really looking forward to hearing from you and hopefully finally getting this solved.
Thank you! Mario |
