2007 S550 replacing windshield washer pump
 

I have read a past message to learn the steps to remove the reservoir and replace the pump. Will the fluid line on the bottom of the pump stretch enough to get the reservoir out? It seems to hang up down there.

There is a difference between ABC and Airmatic cars,

with the Airmatic-model you can pull up the (empty)reservoir just enough, to undo fluid and power connectors to get to the pumps,there is one for windshield and one for headlights.Its tight and lot of wires but do-able.

For ABC-models it the reservoir seems to be in two parts ,but not sure how this would be done.

Thanks, my reservoir is in one piece so I will try to raise it enough to get the fluid line off, and the new pump in.

You should be able to get enough space to get the pump out of the grommet in the reservoir that it sits in, then remove the lines etc.

Guys, just got delivered the reservoir pump for wiper. I just read that tje headlight has yet another pump right next to it? What is likelihood of both of them going bad? Is there a fuse or actuator? The wiper works but no water comes out.

I am afraid that there is not enough space. It is a really tight spot.

This is how much room you have left to access the connector between the reservoir (bottom part of the photo) and washer fluid line (top of the white connector) while the reservoir is still raised.

I will do a write-up with many HD photos from my project of fully removing and installing back the reservoir after replacing the leaking washer under the windshield washer fluid pump.
