What's This Box On The Ceiling?

Inside my S320 Cdi there's this fan/speaker looking box attached to the headlining, what's its function?

Don't see the pic...

Is it towards the rear? Like lined up right in your rear view mirror? If so, then it's the backup sensor and lights up as you get close to objects while you're in reverse.
