2018 E300 4MATIC Sedan
1. Massage seats is a separate option from heated and cooled seats

2. Side window sunshade is a separate option ( bundled with rear seat package )

3. Make sure to get an extended warranty - very expensive to fix

Remember there is no such thing as an AMG S550. It may have the body kit but that's about it, only cosmetic appearance. Not a real AMG.

$20k to $24k isn't going to get you very far in a 221.

In my mind I would not buy a MB without a PPI. Service history also plays a major role on dependability of the car. Extended warranties are worth it especially on w211. It cost $$$ to get anything fixed on this. I won't dump $24k on a 130k w211. Imagine selling the car a year from....very low demand (for high mileage)...will be going for pennies on a dollar.

with that budget, I think you are gonna end up with a high mile car in dodgy shape and you will spend a ton of money fixing it.

tread carefully.

Depending on where you live you can pick a s550 up in your price range! Here in Virginia most used car lots have 2007's from 70,000 to 125,000 miles. And usually they are priced from 22k to 27k depending on options and colors. I used to own a 2009 s550 Sport for 5 years until this past recent month where I got into a car accident. My car didn't have high mileage but it did have it's problems buttons not working, interior lighting going out, and some engine issues that were all covered under warranty. Looking back thank God for warranty or else I would have been out thousands of dollars on repairs!! Now you also have to keep in mind I didn't include oil change, brakes, and rotors. They will cost you an arm and leg!!

If I were you I would wait till 2014 where the prices will drop another 3-5k and get something that you like that is dependable! Also look for service records that really helps!! Just my 2cents hope it helps!

I dont think you should get a w221 with that sort of mileage. You're just asking yourself for trouble and expensive repairs down the road. Either wait until you can afford to at least go in the 40k range with lower mileage and maybe CPO or look into another mercedes model within your price range.

Cars with that kind of mileage are just asking for trouble down the road. Plus if a car has that many miles in such a short period of time, imagine how its been driven.

StarsTylers01: The only way to rack up that kind of mileage, and, have the car not be a 24 hour a day taxi, would be lots of highway miles. Highway miles are very easy on a car. Its the low mileage, stop-and-go, that hammers a vehicle.

Speaking of "Matics" I test drove a S550 and came to a conclusion it was not as smooth as my W220 maybe it was either it had S600 rims or the tires were continental the worst for comfort and said on the dash it was flat. Second do you guys recommend 4 Matics or regulars? Do 4 Matics have more problems?
That is one way to think of it, but I think its just you thinking optimistically. Those are chances I wouldn't want to take. Especially now that the w222 came out and you're still getting an older model.

Why not get a brand new CLA for that price. Great looking car with warranty and no worry for the next 4-5 years.

Bro, my advice to you is to get the newest car that you can afford with a CPO and low mileage then purchase extended warranty and enjoy.

It was a little bumpy but did not squeak or rattle as much as mine but was not as smooth. It was almost about the same but felt the W221 did not ride as well as it. Plus it did not have Night View and Massage.
What size wheels do you have on your W220? My observation has been the same as yours in that the W220's I drove rode better than the W221s I blamed the bigger stiffer wall tires
