Considering going to a 2012 S350 Blutec or an S550

Congrats on your purchase! I'm sure you'll love your car for the years to come.
Also, occasionally when you shut off your car, there will be a ticking sound as well as a burning smell. This is normal as it is part of the Bluetec system; the car burns the accumulated soot into ash.

Where were you when I first bought my S350???
That ticking was driving me crazy, I don't remember that happening with my E320 Bluetec and the SA was useless. It wasn't until I was in L.A. and a lady in an S350 pulled into the lot and parked that I realized they ALL do that from time to time.

OK, I finally got the USA version of the part number, I just had to drop the A on the filler tube 0005832204, and the Adblue is a different number 0005830107. Mercedes benz parts superstore had good prices for both.

thanks for the update. I will also be rinsing it and reusing it. BTW, I was able to get 32 - 33 mpg at a very good clip today, over 68 miles.

S350 bluetec
( Took me a while to realise that you're working on US gallons )
That's not bad for a 4matic.
Is it permanent 4WD, or can you select rear-wheel only ?

S350 bluetec
Although I've got a LHD, I bought the car in England (a long story . . . ) a they have no 4matics on their price-list (being RHD).
So no, it's not a 4matic.
