iPhone 6 does not pair with MB Bluetooth
I called Apple Care to report that my 2007 MB S550 was recognizing my iPhone, but that my iPhone was NOT recognizing my MB system. I had operated my MB Bluetooth system with my iPhone 5 with no problem, but once I upgraded (--that's a complete oxymoron) to ios 8, I was unable to utilize the bluetooth in my car. I was transferred immediately to an Apple Senior Technical Advisor (first indication that Apple knows there is a problem). I spent over 10 hours and multiple emails to my specially assigned Senior Technical Advisor (including me sending him a photo of each stage of me trying to pair the phone with the car, in response to the request of Apple's Engineers for the photos). He kept telling me that Apple's Engineers were "working on it." Each time they had more questions. I answered all their questions. They stopped asking questions. My Senior Technical Advisor stopped calling and stopped responding to my emails. I went to the Verizon store and asked what the problem was (--i.e., was my phone a lemon; should I get a replacement). They said APPLE IS WELL AWARE that the iPhone 6 is not pairing with Mercedes on the ios 8 system (and apparently Jaguar), and supposedly they are working on fixing the problem. It would be nice if Apple could be up front about this (...perhaps an apology is too much to ask for), and at least let us know that they are working on it. I had to buy a portable bluetooth device to use until Apple fixes this problem. Extremely disappointed in Apple and in Douglas Wardle, the Senior Technician at Apple who never had the courtesy to tell me that there was nothing more he could do.
