REAR HEADREST WONT GO DOWN HELP PLEASE

Members,

I have kept my rear headrests down for a reason, for when they are in the up position, they would only go down when I hit the button (makes a click sound) on occasion.

Well, my niece decided to play in my car when I was camping and put all the head rests in the up position. Now, the button no longer makes a clicking sound and they are permanently stuck up!

At this time, I do not like the headrests to be up because I think it obstructs the rear view and makes it more difficult to see what is going on behind me when infamous tailgaters like to drive feet behind me.

Anyhow, does anyone know if there is a fuse related to this option? I do not have the automatic version of this feature. I thank anyone for there time and efforts!

Regards,

fues associated with that feature is #40. it is in the fusebox in the engine bay. On the driver side.
I would check the fuse first. If fuse is fine, I would find a mechanic with the right diagnostic tool to tell exactly what the problem is.
I would have recommended pulling the battery head to reset the computer for electronic to see if that triggers anything. But removing the battery head on this car is not as simple as other cars. Could lead to other things going wrong if not done right.

They may be "released" but didn't drop. Try giving one a nudge.

I had same issue, dealer "reset" module and all was fine.... software, not hardware

I also found out today, that mine supposedly needs a lifting mechanism ($>400 US) from the Stealer. So here I am trolling for alternative, most cost effective solutions. ;-)
