"ESP inoperative"....

After about a week's trip to the body shop for a front lip install, now have ESP message and keyless go inop. They told me something interesting today, that they always sit keys on the roof to make sure of location. Thinking the car may have been awake for several days. Haven't checked the battery, but has anyone had these issues, and can relate them to a flat battery? Tried clearing the code but it won' go away. 08 model on original battery, thanks for any help you can offer...

ABS and EPS Inoperative

I had the same issue and dealer replaced two speed sensors that they replaced 10 months ago. Car would show this error anytime I drove over 80mph. Finally had battary in trunk replaced, it was completely dead. No error since and I've driven it hard just to make sure problem was solved. If you have two batteries, make sure you have both checked. I think the dealer checked the battery under the hood and skipped checking battery in trunk. They paid for new sensors and install, but it was the dead battery for me.

my cars are "awake" all the time as keys usually stay in the vehicles. so.. not your issue.

for the esp errors - front wheel speed sensors need to be checked as they worked around them i imagine

for the keyless go inop- car needs to be read with star/das to determine culprit. kyeless go is complex with few quite moody parts ;)

Thanks....more....

Now cruise is inop (which makes me think wheel sensors), but dynamic seats are now out too. Looks like several consumer items are failing. This has got to be a battery issue, right? Too coincidental for it not to be. Looks like the small battery has been done, but have not removed the rear one yet....Appears to be, at best, three years old.

Is there such a thing as a master reboot on these cars? (Other than just clearing codes thru SDS)?

Thanks again for any input....

I'm just curious, why do u leave your keys inside the vehicle?

Because this way I know where the keys are :) Of course I do it only when at home.
