Advice on purchasing a W221

I ended up going for the E350 Sport.
The S550 was breathtakingly beautiful, but with its mileage, the fact that it was airmatic and 4matic, it just wasn't ideal for me. I just felt that it's right at that age where everything going to be coming up for replacement/repair.
The E350 I picked up fit the bill just perfectly - I love it, and have no regrets! Arctic white with artico gray interior and I got an extremely good deal on it.
Thanks for all the advice and input, everyone.

2015 S550
Since my warranty company has already paid out more than triple of what I paid for it (in less than a year....with 6+ years left), I'd say that I've done OK. I've also helped a couple of other forum members in my area obtain the same coverage on their S600/AMG's. I'd say that there would be a decent probability that the warranty company might rethink their stance on insuring these V12 motors if we keep racking up claims. Get it while you still can, especially if you're in the Chicagoland area where this coverage is still readily available for all S550/600/AMG's.

The other was my belief that the 221 would start disintegrating north of 50k miles, like the 220, but I'm at 80k and it's had a starter motor, AC controller and cam position sensor go. That's nothing on an S. I do hope that company is around when I get my TT CL.

Depends on the weather
My warranty company has paid out also...granted, the warranty was free since the previous owner bought it and transferred it to me and I didn't have to pay for it but they are good considering it's $0.00 deductible. I am sure these V12's wont be covered eventually and then it'll be all out of pocket.

I was saying that the S550 is reasonable. The S600 and AMG models aren't something I personally can't justify budget-wise at this point in my life. But I'd rather have an early model 221 than a 212 E350
To folks that do have the money- its pretty easy to justify a one of a kind ride. And yes, you definitely gotta pay to play

Haha, yea. I got rid of the california duster and just use the dog. Oh, and once I turned on the heated/massaging seat, she passed right out...
