Aux S500 2007
Hi,
This is my first thread and i really appreciate every one effort to help and solve ohters issues.
I boght a used S500 2007 with a very low milage and i am enjoying it, but the issue is the car doesn't have any aux input!!!!
Is there a way to retrofit one in my car?
I have searched for 2 weeks in every website but couldn't find any thing.
Your help is really appreciated.
Thanks

If you do have the Ipod connection, pick this piece up from Amazon.

Yeah those kits are out of stock. eBay possibly. How badly do you want an aux in? The Prima 8.9 OEM integration unit, in addition to completely transforming the sound quality of the stock system, adds a digital aux in. A small controller unit installed in the glove box (or wherever) allows you to switch between Aux In and your other sources. Around $1500 installed. Cheaper on eBay if you can find one.
I understand that there is a kit for my car but it is out of stock.
Can you provide me with the part number so i can start searching in ebay or dealers in other countries 😁
I found the Prima on ebay around 700$ but is it dircet fit or do i need a professional installer do have run on my car? It might be this is the only option if i did not succeed in finding the ipod kit.
Thanks

Let me see what MidCity has for the 07-09 W221. I've used MOBridge units in the past to add IPod/Aux in to a W220 but they've got nothing for the 221.
Edit: well, scratch that. MidCity sells the Mobridge unit as it's aftermarket IPod/Aux In Integration kit. Their own Video In Motion would work though. It's got female RCA leads for stereo audio and composite video, and source selection can be done via the steering wheel buttons to go back and forth from the external source. You'd just ignore the video jack (yellow) and then get an RCA to Stereo Mini Plug "Y" adapter, and plug your mobile device in via the headphone (obviously yours would be longer to get from the VIM module to wherever you have your phone.
Not sure the price of the VIM, but if its anywhere close to the Prima, do the Prima, because it adds a ton of power and tuning capacity to your system. Jason here on the W221 forum is a MidCity distributor. PM him.
