Contest winner, but I'm fake because I don't have many post here?
I can somewhat understand being a newbie having minimal posts can make one wonder...but because I used IMO proper words to describe my excitement and appreciation? I'm baffled beyond comprehension. I do hope the members on here for the most part don't think this way.
Am I wrong for posting a "thank you" in this way?

"First off, I do not work for or affiliated with FCP EURO in any way. With that being said, I'd like to thank Kyle from FCP EURO for this amazing brake kit.

It's an odd post to make. I really don't particularly care whether it's fake or not. But I have to agree it has the feel of cheap marketing rather than some random owner.
I expect the real story is you are a random owner, but were asked to provide a specifically worded thank you.
"Amazing brake kit"? It's a name brand set of rear rotors and pads. They're fine, but in no way amazing.
I have a friend with a Volvo who uses fcpeuro frequently. I think he's generally satisfied with their parts and service. So this all seems unnecessary.
I think it's best to let it go and enjoy the free brakes.

Congrats OP, that is amazing and I would be excited as well. Yes it does sound a bit off how you put it in the first message but hell you won, good job!
