Can someone tell me how to access the bulb in the rear view mirror housing? MY2013 S550.

Search in this forum for the threads discussing LED light replacement and there are probably some pics that show how not to damage the housing to replace the bulb. Or go to your nearest dealer and ask them how to get it open or call them and ask the same. Then post pics of your task here

I thought the lights in there now where whiter than that? Or aren't there some lights in that area that are?

Maybe the coloring is off, but that looks like a yellow light. Arn't they suppose to be bright white, almost LEDlike?

Did the LED reading light fail? The amber/yellow glow you have photographed, and others are commenting on is actually the ambient light - and appears normal.

The LED reading light is a bright white light.

Hi. My rear view mirror keep this yellow light on when I'm running the car. Meanwhile, the LED reading light (the bright white) works fine when you activate it, but once turned off, this yellow "ambient" light keeps on. I will like to know if there is someway of turning off/on this yellow light, or if it is a "normally-on" feature. I have searched the owners manual but there is no info about.

Ambient lighting and cannot be individually turned off, only way to turn it off would be to disable ambient lighting feature for entire interior - try this. Only other option is to open mirror assembly and disconnect.

Yep, now I remember activating ambient lights when playing around with every control and set-up in the cluster menu the other day. Just got my e-350 three weeks ago and I'm still learning about......
