So I filled out an "application" last night online which included the year/make/model and my zip code and it said my quote was waiting for me, and that I just had to call CarChecx to get it. None of the providers listed included TWG, as noted above, only from American Auto Shield, Royal and CarChex's inhouse plan. Just talked to the rep on the phone and they said that none of those providers will cover V12 or this vehicle in the state of Maryland. He went on to say that he thought TWG would cover it and that they were by far the best provider, but they weren't set up with them yet in Maryland and couldn't quote TWG.
Then I call TWG directly, and they couldn't say what types of vehicles they'd cover or where I could go to find a TWG dealer. Just said to check dealers and credit unions.
So.... who can I call next to get a quote on a TWG plan? Ideas?

If you have any family members, even cousins who work for Baxter Health Care, Baxter Labs, or any of the other companies within the Baxter family, then you can join Baxter Credit Union and obtain a warranty through them. If you lived in the Chicago area, you wouldn't need to have any relationship with Baxter to join the Credit Union. But this is the only area where that applies. Or if you have any family members in NE Illinois, get them to join Baxter Credit Union, then you can purchase the warranty through them. Baxter sells the coverage that I have, and they do cover AMG's and V12's.

Some updated info in case it's relevant to anyone. I'm about to buy a 2008 CLS63 w/34k miles from CarMax. Carmax is offering a 5 yr warranty that will take me to 75k total miles (I won't drive it much). Price is $3100 with a $0/$50 deductible. That's $0 at CarMax, $50 at the dealer or an indy.
Contacted Carchex and they quoted me $7100 for a similar plan with $100 dedcutible.
Have had a CarMax warranty before and they paid out $14k over about 3 years on a BMW 5 series wagon. That policy was $2400.

Not sure I paid much more - $29.9k for a 2008 CLS63 w/34k miles. Maybe could have found it less, but not much less. One in Atlanta is going for $26.9m, is one year older and same mileage. However dealer says they can't find anyone who will warranty a 2007.
Only, I paid $3,100 for the warranty. I asked about the warranty for a 2010 Cooper S I was thinking of for a runaround car. $6400 for the warranty for the same term and total mileage (from current). Crazy.
Now I really feel lucky to have found the car at CarMax. People don't think of them for higher-end cars, but they have them. Not just high-end, but high performance - AMG, BMW M, Audi S.

Nothing wrong with CarMax at all. It's just that you'll always pay full dealer retail or a little more when buying a car from them. Fortunately, like a new car dealer, they'll usually make sure that cars on their lot are ready to roll and serviceable for many years. My guess is that they made at least $4-5k on your transaction as older used Benzes can be picked up dirt cheap at auction, even with very low miles. But in your case, even paying full dealer retail wasn't a bad deal with the piece of mind of having good warranty coverage at a great price.

I think their pricing is better than "full dealer", at least in my experience. I think it's closer to "I beat the dealer down a few grand". Sure, more than auction but I don't have access and back to that warranty. I'd have to get it for $4k cheaper at auction to equalize the price with warranty and I still don't know the warranty company.
I searched nationwide for a '07-'09 and could not find much with sub-35k miles. There are 6 on Autotrader (nationwide) with under 40k miles, priced from $2k-$11k more (yes, I know, asking) except for the one in ATL. Add the more expensive warranty and I figure I got out for less at CM than I could have elsewhere. And, they brought the car to Austin from Houston at no charge with no obligation.
And, they are so damn nice at CarMax. Makes you actually want to buy a car from them. I called one other dealer and it took 20 seconds of talking to the guy to remind me why I really, really avoid most dealerships ("It's the best one in the country, you will find nothing like this again. Not possible. Buy it now or you be very sorry. Come to see me now. Yes, you be very happy you do. Don't make mistake and not buy this car.")

Carchex Titanium policy thru "The warranty Group" is identical to the one Dave got through his CU.
I believe carchex offers warranties thru different companies (including assurant) as mentioned by some of the members.
The titanium plan is exclusionary and covers pretty much everything except maintenance items, after market stuff, wheels etc.
My car is 2012 s550 RWD (still under cpo and 19,800 miles) and was able to get 72 months / 75000 miles $250 deductible policy for $3277.
