Best aftermarket warranty

Yeah no one will match Dave's deal.
It is weird how Carchex/Assurant pricing is. Around $4K pricing for titanium/hi tech pricing for myself with a 2007 S600 at 30K miles.
I'm more interested in how they (recent post) reconcile it with the dealer. When I had mine in they needed to inspect the thing.

Funny you bring that up. Just heard yesterday from my service adviser that they're bringing an adjuster out to check out the car. My guess is that they'll do that when the quote on the work reaches a certain level?
With this $7k quote, including $3.2k to replace a seat frame, heck I'd send out an adjuster too if I were them.
I'll have to call Assurant tonight and see if anyone went out there today. My adviser is off on Thursdays and Assurant claims to get a person out there within 48 hours so either today or tomorrow. Hopefully if the guy went out there today, someone showed him where the car was...

I actually just got an update about 10 minutes ago. Dealer has been bad about communication with me so I've been making calls to Assurant directly (they've been quite good btw).
According to Assurant, they're covering everything but the seat frame, so the engine mounts, dynamic seat bladder, control arm, and sway bar bushings which total $3,629 according to my dealer quote.
I'll update once again after I confirm that Assurant is paying for all of the labor too and my only payment is the $100 deductible.
Hopefully it includes 100% of the labor as well. The warranty is looking like a great idea at the moment. I had actually become quite worried that I would need to trade the car in if the warranty came out as a bust but now I'm tremendously relieved.

I paid about $3300 for my exclusionary policy I bought through my credit union. Covers me for 7 yrs/75k miles, $100 deductible. So far in 20 months, they have paid out over $11k in claims without blinking an eye. I haven't had a claim since Feb, so I'm waiting for the other shoe to fall.

Unless you live in the Chicago area or have a family member that works for the Baxter companies, you'll likely have a difficult time getting the same warranty I have. Although TH Carerra just purchased one from a different company that is administered by the same company as mine and has an identical contract with pricing that almost exactly matches. I'll let him tell you all about it.

Carchex Titanium policy thru "The warranty Group" is identical to the one Dave got through his CU.
I believe carchex offers warranties thru different companies (including assurant) as mentioned by some of the members.
The titanium plan is exclusionary and covers pretty much everything except maintenance items, after market stuff, wheels etc.
My car is 2012 s550 RWD (still under cpo and 19,800 miles) and was able to get 72 months / 75000 miles $250 deductible policy for $3277.

The higher the starting mileage, the higher the cost and less years and mileage of coverage you can buy. Exclusionary coverage is not available at all if your car reaches 70k miles before you try to purchase coverage.

The most frustrating part of my warranty experience so far (only 3 months in) is the process of waiting to see what is covered and what isn't. I think with a Mercedes ELW, that process would be much quicker/smoother but I could be mistaken.

I'm by no means a warranty expert but I would have definitely gone ELW if my car qualified.

Sadly the car is making another stop this saturday as the dealer didn't do a good job with the alignment and the steering wheel is off-center turned toward the right when the car is tracking straight.
Think I might be switching to a dealer in Jersey after this and the first time when they cracked my rear bumper.

Food for thought: the ELW does not cover everything that the original mfr warranty covers. There are more exclusions, so be sure to read through it thoroughly so that you're not surprised. Also, be sure to read the part about tires. I believe there is an automatic exclusion if you've ever run Cooper tires on your car.

Not a bad plan to get if your car is still within the original mfr warranty period. A bit pricey IMO, especially when you compare it to other plans for cars that have low miles at the time of warranty purchase. A good aftermarket warranty can be just as good....or in my case even better (according to my service adviser) than a Benz ELW. TH Carrera was able to secure a plan administered by the same folks as mine....and I can say with absolute certainty that the plan totally rocks! You can buy more years and miles for a lower price than Benz ELW if you go with TH's warranty....especially if your car doesn't have a ton of miles on it. My plan covers V12 and AMG cars at the same price as the S550. Find me another plan that will cover those cars on an exclusionary basis. You probably can't, at least not for a price that would make the purchase worthwhile.

I'm looking at MB ELW as well as other options. My car has less than 12k miles so that's a non-issue no matter which way I go. Heck, miles are so low the Conti's are barely broken in so no chance of me violating the No-Cooper clause
BTW, got myself an excellent Covercraft Dustop cover, it is doing a great job.

For the record I ended up buying the MB ELW coverage. When researching it way back when, I found info on this site for Jeff Santos, others here had dealt with him. Ultimately I used Jeff and it was seamless, and painless.
For anyone going the ELW route check with Jeff, based on my experience I think he will give you a fair deal and no run around.

Purchased an additional 2 years of CPO unlimited mileage warranty for 2012 S550 with 35K miles from MB of Austin for $3550 (total no tax) and was quoted the same price by MB of Santa Rosa. Was told suggested retail is $4900. Dealer where I bought the car said he could do $3500 + tax, but before I shopped around they wanted $4400 + tax.

I just looked at the Carchex site and they don't show any Titanium plans via TWG, only from other providers. I had been in the market for a 2012 S65 AMG with 38k miles from Carmax, and would have loved to have gotten the 5/100 plan for $4k from them. Their plans are administered through TWG, CNA and Fidelity, but the Carmax plan is pretty special.
Now I found a virtually identical S65 for sale but it's not through Carmax, so the aftermarket warranty hunt is on! Dave's plan sounds great, but if the CarChex plan is administered by other than TWG it might be a different ball of wax. Thoughts? Must have a warranty, and need to make decision tomorrow AM.

So I filled out an "application" last night online which included the year/make/model and my zip code and it said my quote was waiting for me, and that I just had to call CarChecx to get it. None of the providers listed included TWG, as noted above, only from American Auto Shield, Royal and CarChex's inhouse plan. Just talked to the rep on the phone and they said that none of those providers will cover V12 or this vehicle in the state of Maryland. He went on to say that he thought TWG would cover it and that they were by far the best provider, but they weren't set up with them yet in Maryland and couldn't quote TWG.
Then I call TWG directly, and they couldn't say what types of vehicles they'd cover or where I could go to find a TWG dealer. Just said to check dealers and credit unions.
So.... who can I call next to get a quote on a TWG plan? Ideas?
