airmatic malfunction help

hey guys I'm hoping someone can help me with my suspension issue. I have a 2007 s550 and I was driving the other day and the airmatic malfunction light came on. when I came home the rear end was all the way down on the ground. I spent the past few days on the forums searching and trying things but nothing yet has helped. I replaced the airmatic relay and 40a fuse under the hood even tho it was not blown. my issue is I put a meter on the fuse and the fuse itself has no power at all on either side of the fuse. I also pulled the bumper off and put a meter on the compressor and it has no power on it at any point in time on the thick red wire at the compressor. I'm extremely electronic savvy and I work on cars for a living so I'm rather hands on doing it myself. I was thinking maybe the rear level sensor broke off but if that did happen it wouldn't lose power to the compressor and fuse right? I plugged in my snap on scanner and got these 2 codes.1st is 5260 check component a9/1y1 ( airmatic pressure release valve ) and the 2nd is 5286 recovery times during bleeding of air suspension strut is too long. any help would be greatly appreciated thanks for your time

Maybe this will help

40 Spring strut with integrated additional volume, front axle
41 Spring strut with integrated additional volume, rear axle
42 Semi-active air suspension central reservoir
A9/1 Semi-active air suspension compressor unit
A9/1y1 Pressure drain valve
A Air filter
B Pressure relief/residual pressure holding valve
C Air drier
B7 Central pressure sensor
Y36/6 Valve unit with integrated central reservoir charging valve
Y51/1y1 Left front axle additional volume valve
Y51 /1y2 Left front axle level valve
Y52/1y1 Right front axle additional volume valve
Y53/1y1 Left rear axle additional volume valve
Y53/1y2 Left rear axle level valve
Y54/1y1 Right rear axle additional volume valve
Y54/1y2 Left rear axle level valve

You really need star to do this right though.
Change the filter (A) while your down there. A Girl once said that to me.

hold your horses.

the compressor is disabled by the system. so no power. this happens when a constant leak is detected that cannot be compensated for despite maxing out compressor run time.

car needs to be attached to star/ das and compressor reset and then tested via means of star/ das compressor psi/ over time diagnosis.

this will identify if problem is a weak compressor or a leaky shock or two.

Negative.
Just happened to me couple of month ago. You could find my thread, where I've described symptoms. Bottom end- broken rear level sensor- cuts out power from compressor.

Specifically relating to 5286, same code showed up on my 2010 S550 4Matic. Problem was the minimum pressure valve on the right front strut was not letting air out. Right front was pure Arnott (meaning their new design) installed years before I bought the car. New Arnott struts use a different minimum pressure valve than OE that screws into the top of the strut. It's basically a sealed brass pressure regulator the air line goes into. In the event the line blows or the valve block leaks out all pressure this valve makes sure the air bag on the strut doesn't go flat. Air can go in via the compressor and out via the release valve in the valve block but the bag will always have at least a few PSI to keep the car off the ground. I figured the valve failed after I pushed the raise button the last time. I vented the strut by cracking the valve loose and waiting for the hiss to stop. Then I removed the valve and cut it in half. There's a small circular rubber diaphragm inside that had 2 small splits around the edge. it was toast. I'm sure the same thing can happen to the OE valves too. Note, the strut is pressurized even when the air line is disconnected so do not try removing these pressure valves unless you know the pressure has been bled off. The valve on an OE strut is secured by a snap ring and cannot be unscrewed like the Arnott strut. This particular post is what got me thinking in the right direction. Thank you for the posts.
