Angry HELP! P0410 Secondary air *CEL*

Hi guys,

Got a CEL, and ran the codes... P0410 Secondary Air Injection System. After some searching on the forum, figured it was the Secondary Air Injection Pump.

Ordered a new Bosch part, installed and cleared codes. Two days later code appears again, this time with two cylinder misfire codes (5 & 7). Have since noticed
a very violent shake on start up. I cleared the codes again, and now it is just P0410 coming up with the CEL. I have noticed cold starts are much louder and there
is a very noticeable vibration for first 30 seconds.

Warm starts are smooth and engine runs great. Any suggestions or help for this?

Thanks in advance. P.S. This is for a 2008 CL550, I posted here since they are same motor, and the CL forum is dead compared to the 221 S-class.

Next step, check if anything in surrounding area was broken and all was reinstalled properly if all seems fine use smoke machine to check for vacuum leaks.

Fuse and Relay for Secondary Air Pump on W221

Could you tell me where the fuse is located? Which fuse box and which fuse and relay numbers?
Thanks.

Thanks konigstiger for the details. The Secondary Air Pump is definitely not coming on. I looked at the the fuse F55 and relay A. Physically, the fuse looks good but when I put a light tester to it, the tester does not light up. All other fuses light up except F55, F56 and F57. I even started up the engine but these 3 fuses refused to light up with my tester. Are they related? All 3 look physically good but no current is passing through them. Would replacing Relay A fix all the fuses... and the secondary pump... and P0410?

When I cold start in the morning, the car shivers for a few seconds before stabilizing. Is this being caused by the Secondary Air Pump issue?

Have someone with MB DAS (diagnostics) clear codes and run a quick test.
