2007 S550 Spins Over Won't Start
Good Morning!
I have a 2007 S550 that has had a persisting yet inconsistent issue where when the engine is cold, the motor turns over at normal speed but will not always start on the first attempt. It seemed to may that the car was simply disagreeing with the cold weather because as it warmed up, the issue went away. We recently had a slight cold snap here and the issue has resurfaced only now, its much worse.
Yesterday morning, it took 10 minutes to get the vehicle to start after which it drove fine until last night. Last night I got in the vehicle it took a couple of attempts to start and when it did finally die and as soon as I put it in gear and began to pull out of the space, it sputtered and died. It's worth nothing that the vehicle has not thrown a CEL even after last nights incident.
It may also be worth noting that I did recently replace a coilpack after the vehicle threw a CEL for a misfire.
Based on some quick searches, it seems that its either the Fuel Pump Relay or the CPS. I'm just wondering if theres a higher likely hood of it being one rather than the other. I picked up a Fuel Pump Relay this morning and am planning on replacing it around lunch time.
Thanks for the help in advance.
Best,
Alan
