2008 S600 - Keyless entry not working on drivers door

Hello

I'v only had the car for 3 months now, and im pretty sure the keyless entry did work on the drivers door when i bought it (not 100% sure, might have missed it in the excitement). However, about 2 months ago i noticed that when i pulled the handle the door would not open and the car would not unlock.

Car unlocks and opens from all the other doors.

Would this be the handle that would need replacing or is it some other sensor in the door?

Thanks

Scanned it on SnapOn machine and its come back with the following code and explanation:-

9112 - B67/2 (Right Front Keyless Go Sensor Unit) Permanently Actuated.

Is that the door handle?

Yep, thats definitely the door handle at fault.

Will get a part number and search the likes of ebay. Do you know if its a plug and play item or does it need to be reprogrammed back to the car?

But as usual, thank you very much for your help konigstiger :y

Just the matter of sensor wiring on the exterior door handle, you just remove the door handle and you will easily to see the cable wiring is damage and disconnect, soldering and clear the error code by scanner would help to resolve problem.

If it were me and I have a Star system, the first thing I would do is see if updating the firmware of the module for the door and for the Keyless go module would make a difference. When you own a system, this type of thing cost you nothing.

I bet it's the wire in the door handle. When you open the door, you will see there is a rubber cover on the inside door jam( on top of the door lock hinge) lined up with the door handle . There is a screw in there which when you remove, allows the door handle section to come out of the socket and pulled out of the door itself.
