Ok, sorry for dumb questions but to be clear

1. I don't need an Android phone to run this, right?
2. It uses my phone any time it needs to get to the internet, right? like to add an app
3. How is it at night? Some of those screens are too bright even in "night" mode
4. Ignore the trolls

I can make that for you. I deal with a factory and wouldn't cost much. But need to know color of wood you have.

EDIT, I need to know the color you have now,. It would look the same. pm please.

Interesting...... So this makes a bypass to the headunit (like "old" bluetooth systems) and sends info back. Does it needs coding, in mine i don't have an aux input (w221, 2006).

Although i think that Megacrazy came on too strong but he might have some valid points, specially with Chinese units: How about heat dissipation, if i leave the car in the sun it will exceed temperatures not recomended for sure. Summer time here is 30-40º C and in a close environment it may double !!! How will this work with the climate/other functions from the head unit (uses the screen to project or will it be "touch" usable). Although Android is very versatile but to meet the standard to be installed and be fully funcional for a W221 might not have the capability.

Chris i am one that have been following your "transformer W221" and seen some of your vids. This radio if it all works as it should be will be a major upgrade for us.

It will work just fine just as in the W212 and all other moels its installed in now. This is the same exept for the buttons that will be integrated in the display ...

Yes and the screen conects to old unit via bluetooth if you dont have aux.

Ok, but my car's factory bluetooth only works for phone signals. The music won't need to go over this, right?
