Night view assist inoperative

Just purchased a 2008 s63 with nightvision and have been getting this message when hitting the night vision button. This is with standard non facelift headlamps. What would typically cause this?

It appears to be daytime, so the Night View Assist will not work. That's how it works in my 2008.

I took the picture just to show the message I’m getting. I get it at night too. I get it stopped or on the move. Also cleaned the camera lense. Still nothing.

Ahh, gotcha. Well I think your best bet is to get it connected to the Star diagnostics. There are a number of expensive components in the Night View package and Star will help isolate the issue. Could be a bad switch or blown fuse, etc. - hard to tell without some diags.

Does anyone here have a solution or diagnosis for this error? I'm suddenly getting this message when I try to engage the night view assist. It's been working fine since 2013 and now the hooptiness continues on my 2013 W221 S550

You need to plug it in to Star. It could be any number of things.

If it happens again you know there's an issue with the cable. Could just simply need to be reseated or it might have a break.

About four days in and it seems to work just fine so far. No issues
