Unusual starting behavior, new battery to fix it?

Randomly my S600, when I push the "start/stop" button will act like the battery is very low. It will turn over a few times slowly, then not start. But, if you try again, it fires up with full power, like nothing is wrong. It used to do this when you tried a restart after running it in hot weather, but lately it does in the morning too, on a cold engine.

Before I plunk down for a battery, anything else to look at?

thanks

Have the battery checked before you replace it.
Maybe a bad connection somewhere in the circuit?
