Replaced my transmission mount today.
In the last two weeks my 2007 S550 was sounding like a hot rod on take off(slow ones) and I was getting lots of vibration through the steering wheel. I had purchased a set of mounts (Corteco Engine and Transmission) almost a year ago and after reading some descriptions on the forum figured I couldn't lose by replacing it.
Tools I used:
16mm deep socket for the bolts on pan that covers the mount - torque = 45nm.
13mm deep socket for the nuts that hold the mount to the pan - torqe = 28nm.
eTorx 12 for the bolts that attach the mount to the transmission - torque = 28nm
8mm socket for plastic covering at rear of engine.
Milwaukee 3/8 Drive Cordless Ratchet - I love this tool, makes quick work of all of those 8mm screws for the bottom engine covers.
Torque Wrench 3/8 Drive
Floor jack plus block of wood for supporting the oil pan.
I've attached the WIS/ASRA producedure which I followed.
Here's a photo of the old mount and the new mount. The old mount is obliterated!
My S550 with over 193,000 miles is once again smooth as silk with no 'hot rod" roar. I still have some vibration in the steering wheel and will tackle the motor mounts in the very near future.

I don't login often, but wanted to thank you for the excellent write-up on this repair. I just hit 100k and intend to hang on to the car for another 100k. The mounts are on my list for preventative maintenance.
