Just bought 07 S550 for 3K
Just picked up a 07 S550 with 246,000 miles for $3,000. This car is literally show room new and has a carfax 7 pages long with all maintenance completed only at Mercedes dealers. The car rides like a dream and the interior looks perfect. It really is insane. Needs some front suspension work as there is some creaking on the front left side happening but otherwise nice.

In order to upload a picture, you will need to use the "Image" Icon next to the "smiley face" above and upload from your device. |
carfax shows dozens of records from Mercedes dealers. Would be nice to get more detailed records. obviously it has not been neglected to be able to make it this far

Car looks VERY NICE! If you know where the vehicle was serviced and provide them with the VIN and stating that you are the new owner, a good and reputable dealer should have no problem providing the service history for it.
Now I am VERY CURIOUS to find out as to HOW you scored this car for 3K? Where are you located, City/State? Is it Salvaged? Private Party Sale? Auction? I just recently purchased an '07 with 140K miles for $8,500 and I thought I did pretty good. My car however has a salvage title due to hail damage. NO ACCIDENT or Airbag deployment and was professionally fixed. Similar car in my area without salvage title go for around 11K-12K. My car has obviously 100K miles less than yours, but I think you stole it for 3K. Can't really tell in the picture, but it does not appear to have parking Sensors, what about a back up camera? Let us know the details. |
Damn, looks like you got the deal of the century, even with high mileage like that.
Car probably cost close to $100k when new. |
Got a clean title clean carfax no wrecks. My buddy has a very rich friend who bought this at a mecum auto auction for 16K without realizing the mileage. The guy that paid that for it realized it needed a computer and did not want to deal with it. Sold it to my buddy for 2500. My buddy fixed the computer and knew I have always wanted one (im an ex 7 series guy). He then sold to me for 3K. I throw him good deals all the time. We are both dealers. Rich guy definitely lost his behind, but I suppose he did not care.
Car interior is as immaculate as exterior. |
drivers side. will upload interior soonhttps://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mbw...07d1c5ef24.jpg

Car interior is as immaculate as exterior. Same thing happened to me, bought mine from a VERY RICH Chick, who had just purchased a W222 S63 AMG. Too much money and did not care very much. You should show us some interior pics as well. - You did not mention if it had parking sensors and back up camera? - What City/State are you in? As an EX 7 Series Guy, I am sure you will love this car as I think it is way better and nicer than a similar 7 Series of that year. :) |

yes it has back up sensors but sadly no camera. I wish. Thanks for the heads up on missing lug. Did not notice it until now.
|

She does need some work though. My stereo is not working. The nav, ac and seat controls all work on the screen but I see no FM stations, and cannot select any stations. No sound comes from the speakers.
The front left suspension makes creaking sounds when going over dips and bumps at low speeds Check engine light is on for P0071 ambient air temp sensor. I have replaced sensor, cleared the code but it just comes back for the same thing. Irritating. Need a nicer scanner to give me the real nitty gritty. On the positive side it has all new arnott air shocks all the way around. |
I am sure you will get this all sorted out. For this price you can invest a little money IMO to bring her back to her original glory.
I had to tinker with mine a bit as well, I guess this is what it takes when you buy an older and cheaper car. But, most was not expensive and simply took some elbow grease and time. |
Dayum! What a deal........maybe :)
GL! |
in the end not a good deal lol. already needs easily 3,000 in work. between stereo, front cv axles and creaking suspension. My head is already spinning lol. One thing at a time I suppose.
|
3k+3k = 6k ... still a good deal imo. I think you need to get closer to 10k+ to no longer consider the deal a good one.

May have been a false alarm. Turns out I can rebuild the cv axles for $300 a side. Amplifier repair is $300. So $1000 plus labor. Stereo labor ill do myself. Cv axles no thanks lol |
Not bad, do you have a good indy?
|
working on one and a personal friend owns another from afar so has been helping from the distance
