I can’t win!

So I ended trying to retrofitting the oem camera. The oem camera has 4 wires coming off it. There is ground, power, video, and video ground. Basically I cut the plug off of the oem camera and wired it up using a female rca video plug that had power/ground wires coming off it. That rca was connected to video +/- and the other wires coming off the oem plug was ground and power. Power wire was ran to the rear fuse where the oem camera fuse goes and ground was mounted to panel metal in the trunk. Well the tail lights stopped working right after that but the camera works so I am lost. Anyone know why?

You didn't say whether or not the brake lights still worked.
Check the tail light grounds with an Ohm meter. You may have knocked the TL ground off.
Always start with the simple stuff 1st when diagnosing a problem.
Report back please and let us know what the problem was.

Sorry the brake lights didn't work. I actually unplugged both tail lights and shut the car to let it reset. Before starting the car I plugged both tail lights in and they both worked so I am not really sure why they stopped working but all is good now.. I am sure with my luck they will stop working again lol
