Anyone done a complete interior swap?

So long story short I've got a front end collision 2010 S600 with a mint condition excellent interior. I just purchased a 2007 S600 with a decent interior and I'm thinking of swapping pretty much the entire interior from the 2010. I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this? What compatibility issues might there be with wiring or plugs. What parts really changed? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

It is still good, only driver's steering wheel airbag deployed. But as I said I'm planning on swapping it into my current car.

although if you have a 07 s600 you already have the leather dash. If your leather dash isnt pulling up maybe you could sell me the one from the 2010?

No specific experience on the W221 interior differences, but I did swap a W124 interior ... putting a leather interior from a '94 E320 into an '87 300E. The one thing I didn't count on was the rear seat shoulder belt mount point changed between the two chassis. Had to weld in nuts to receive the shoulder belt mount point bolt. All the electrics were a clean swap though.

I would have to think there were some significant changes between early/late W221 cars. The COMAND, the center console is all new (COMAND knob and controls). It would be amazing if it worked for you, would love to see the results!

I don't anticipate any mounting point differences as they are the exact same chassis. I think I'm more worried about plugs that changed and finding a part won't plug into the existing wiring. Also concerned with what if anything would need to be reprogrammed.

Well that was really the point of my post ... I didn't anticipate any either but when I went to install the C-pillar trim I found that they had changed the seat belt mounting point and I needed to weld in new mounting nuts. I didn't find this out until I removed the old trim and tried to install the new.

Really wishing you the best of luck here, always wondered how complex this might be.

Oh I see, I read it wrong, thought they were not the exact same chassis. I'll keep this thread updated on progress, I'm thinking I'm going to do it. I do however need the steering wheel airbag (without buttons).

Take care fitting front seats. It's very easy to get the mountings mis-aligned and that can cause the slides to bind.
