EBR, ABS,and ESC Unavailable Diagnostic Mode
Hello!!!
Yesterday morning when i started it up my car this message came up...the car is a 2010 S550 4Matic. I just ordered a i carsoft Mii scanner.Could somebody give me a idea where to start looking before my scanner comes in.

Please tell me how you fixed this... im stuck in this mode for like over a week and can't get out of it.

you don't normally see that - that comes up when using diagnostics…
but esp and abs not available is standard when wheel speed sensors die - at anywhere from 7 to 11 years its standard (merc say to do as a pair (both fronts or both rears....)

there was a thread about someone stuck in this mode...
on another forum and not a w221, the consensus was something threw the car in a tails spin and its stuck waiting for the car to go through a successful teach in process.... AKA when the wheel speed sensors aren't lying, you need to via xentry run through a successful road test sequence, following the baby steps of go back, forward, turn the wheel and do as you are told till the car believes the info it seeing meets its idea of something safe... but as I have seen a few times, a car with no fault, using dealer kit and following children's mode to the letter can still take a few goes before its happy
of course if you have a fault in any of the sensors / systems that need to land the right criteria you won't get anywhere
